WAB graduated from the University of Aberdeen with First Class Honours in Physics in 2022, with part of his final year spent developing and programming a mathematical model to investigate epilepsy and it’s potential causes. From here he went on to begin research at the University of Bath, focussing on using numerical and computational methods to model the behaviour of multiferroic nanocomposite materials.

Skills focussing on analysis of data, modelling and understanding of physical systems were developed during his studies, translating well to his position at PhysE. During his time at PhysE, WAB has continued to develop programming tools to aid in data investigation and visualisation. He is involved in the preparation of ISO-compliant metocean design criteria and other statistical analyses of metocean data sets across the North Sea. Currently WAB undertakes data quality control for several sites located in the North Sea and off the Northwest Coast of Australia.
