CJP has over a decade of experience in the metocean industry. As a\u00a0Metocean Advisor at PhysE for the majority of his career CJP has developed metocean design criteria, prepared operational statistics for weather sensitive offshore operations, and manages the quality control of numerous metocean data sets from offshore assets across the North Sea and West of Shetland.<\/p>\n
CJP graduated from the University of Southampton in 2008 with a First Class Honours, Masters in Oceanography degree (MOcean).\u00a0 Studies focused on physical oceanography, specifically coastal physics and global climate. \u00a0His studies and final year research project (modelling physical water properties in the Western Irish Sea) were the foundations to his career in the metocean industry.<\/p>\n
During his previous employment at Marine Scotland \u2013 Science (formally Fisheries Research Services) CJP designed an environmental study to monitor sedimentation and entrainment in the Firth of Lorn Marine SAC (special area of conservation).
